Pastor Johnson was called to be Mount Olive’s sixth Pastor. Pastor Johnson comes from the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, San Diego, CA, where he faithfully served under Pastor J.R. Bennett.  At Macedonia, Pastor Johnson held a number of positions including, Youth Minister, Assistant Minister, Associate Pastor and most recently as Executive Pastor from 2016 – 2019 before joining Mount Olive in December 2019.

Pastor Johnson is a dynamic preacher and Bible teacher. He has a passion for proclaiming the Word of God. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies.

Pastor Johnson was born and raised in San Francisco and gave his life to Christ at a young age, He was baptized at the Providence Baptist Church and was called to preach at the age of 12. He delivered his first sermon at the age of 13 and has dedicated his life to serving the Lord Jesus Christ.

In addition to his service to the Lord, Pastor Johnson has served for over 20 years in the U S Navy. He retired from active duty in December 2009. Pastor Johnson is married to Lanee’ Johnson and they have one daughter, Natecia Johnson.

Pastor Johnson is a dynamic preacher who has a heart for servant leadership. Pastor Johnson succeeds Pastor Brian Clater who is retiring from the pastorate after serving 12 years at Mount Olive. The Mount Olive congregation will be well served by Pastor Johnson’s leadership.
